This blog is not about provocative thoughts, ruminations on the world as we know it or anything else fancy. It is merely images from my personal 'little piece of paradise,' Enjoy.

My Photographic Nemesis
I don't know what it is about the Cactus Wren but somehow I never quite manage to get a decent photo of them. I have tried repeatedly and occasionally come close but somehow I just don't quite seem to capture the essence of this spiky, strident character. I mean look at this one bathed in the soft evening light, he looks quite, dare I say it, friendly and we all know how much he would hate that!

It always amazes me that they can stand on those prickly cactus and not get stabbed! Nice photo!
It is a pretty bird, great capture!
I know Roberta, it is amazing isn't it. Having tangled with cholla countless times over the years it makes my fingers hurt just thinking about it!
They are lovely aren't they Eileen. Have a great weekend :)
