Scale and Tail

This little Western Diamondback is working hard on our resident packrat population and so as a result has become my husbands new best friend. With the number of packrats in our yard it won't stay a little snake for long, it's an all you can eat buffet.

I am not sure if I would want a rattlesnake in my backyard. It cool looking, great shots. Have a happy Sunday!

Yikes. How did you get so close???? I have heard about those packrats. Everyone seems to hate them. They sound bad. I have never seen one.

I understand Eileen, they are not for everyone. I work with them and so am rather fond of them, all welcome in my yard :)

Don't worry Roberta, long zoom ;)
Packrats are very cute but unfortunately extremely prodigious and very destructive, hence most people hate them. I like them because they attract all the predators!
