This blog is not about provocative thoughts, ruminations on the world as we know it or anything else fancy. It is merely images from my personal 'little piece of paradise,' Enjoy.

New Faces
This is such a fun time of year, there are so many new species appearing in the yard. Some will be around for the summer and some are just passing through on their migration north. This Brown-crested Flycatcher flitted about for a couple of days before he settled enough for me to get some photos. I have given him a strict talking to - he is welcome to stay if he refrains from eating my hummingbirds, which they are known to do occasionally!

Celeste, it was wonderful to see this bird in your yard!
Yes Kathie and I were sitting watching him and also pouring over various bird books when we read that they will occasionally kill hummingbirds!! :(
I hear you on the White-winged Doves!
I am so glad we got to share it Kathie :)
