This blog is not about provocative thoughts, ruminations on the world as we know it or anything else fancy. It is merely images from my personal 'little piece of paradise,' Enjoy.

What Makes Me Happy
A tiny little rattlesnake trundling across the driveway, barely bigger than a twelve inch ruler would probably upset a lot of people but it makes me come over all warm and fuzzy.
I love little baby animals and just because they happen to be dangerously venomous, I don't discriminate.
I just hope this sweet little fellow manages to avoid the king snakes. I also hope that it chooses to stay on our land as many of my neighbours kill all snakes indiscriminately. Which is a shame because they are such a vital part of a healthy ecosystem.
Quite apart from the fact, he is such a tiny little thing, he deserves to be left in peace to live.

Cool photos of your baby rattlesnake. I hope it stays safe. Happy Sunday!
I only just found out that the babies are much more dangerous than the adults. Who knew? Very pretty though.
What a beauty! While I would not kill one, they still make my heart race with adrenaline!
Me too Eileen, it is a tough life for these little guys!
Yes Roberta, they don't have as much control over the quantity of venom they release!
Well that is a perfectly healthy instinct Kathie, you are wired for flight in a moment of danger.
