This blog is not about provocative thoughts, ruminations on the world as we know it or anything else fancy. It is merely images from my personal 'little piece of paradise,' Enjoy.

Portrait
Not an easy subject to photograph as they are constantly on the move but I do love trying to track down the goofy Roadrunner. They are gradually getting used to the crazy lady with the camera and realizing that I mean them no harm. I must admit every time I observe these birds they remind me of the missing link! They have something very prehistoric about them.

Beep beep!!!:)
How nice of him to pose for his portrait, and what a handsome fellow he is. Oh, heck, it's probably the female!
I love these birds, I hope to see one myself someday. Great shot!
Celeste, yes they do! Nice shot! I'm glad he made you smile!
That is exactly what goes through my head every time I see one Chris :)
He/she was actually in the top of a mesquite when I took this Carole but he/she was curious to see what I was doing creeping about with a camera so he/she popped his/her head out to look at me! :)
I hope you do Eileen, they never fail to raise a smile :)
They always do Kathie, even when they are terrorising everything else in the yard!
The roadrunner looks relaxed in the picture, really nice portrait!
Funny you should say that Diane but just before I took this shot I was lining up another when the Roadrunner made that strange rattling call and startled me - I took a picture of the sky!!
