The third in my series is the kitchen cam. This is the camera closest to the house but it has the highest amount of traffic so I have split it into two posts. Here is the first half............

Secrets Revealed - Part One

My wildlife cameras have been quite busy over the last couple of months. I thought it would be fun to do a series of selections from some of them so here is part one, the driveway cam.

Sometimes when photographing the birds in my yard I like to take a different perspective. The standard shots still have their appeal certainly

But sometimes the details appeal

The imperfections, the missing feather

The different angles

The shots that make a subject real rather than posed

Not that I would ever suggest that this fierce little Costas is anything less than perfection

Open to All

I recently bought a hanging birdbath which I placed near some of my seed feeders outside my kitchen window. I wasn't sure if the birds would take to it but it seemed to meet with their approval rather quickly and has now become the avian equivalent of the water cooler.

One morning I looked out to see the birdbath was a lot fuller than usual but considerably less crowded..................

Here are this years selection for the Halloween theme. Of course, you know me, I don't think any of these beauties are scary or spooky. The only species I find to be the stuff of nightmares are homo sapiens and thankfully there aren't any of those in my yard (yours truly excepted, and hubby too!)
