Often Overlooked


The gentle Mourning Dove's soothing call seems to be a constant at present and really is there a sweeter sound? I so enjoy having these lovely souls around and at least at this time of year they are not yet being harassed by the migratory White-winged Doves.

    I love them also but do not want them nesting on my patio!

    Mourning doves are my favorite backyard birds. I also find them to be peaceful compared to the white-winged ones who visit in the summer. Sweet picture!

    I can understand that Kathie, they are rather messy. Maybe you could put something under their nest to catch the poop?

    Me too Diane, I think they are so soft and beautiful. I am never happy to see the White-winged Doves, they are such thugs!
